Because life’s too short for things you don’t love.
Hey friends!
Welcome to the very first edition of West Main Picks, my new monthly series where I share the things I’ve used, loved, and think you might love too. Every month, I’ll be rounding up products that made life a little easier, sweeter, or just plain fun—and one lucky reader will get to win one of these favorites for free!
This month was all about kitchen staples that make from-scratch living feel even better and one cleaning gadget that blew my mind. Oh, and yes—there’s chocolate involved (you’re welcome).
Here’s what made the cut for July:
1. Esembly Sourdough Starter Kit

This little kit made me feel like a sourdough queen. If you’ve been thinking about starting your own sourdough journey but feel overwhelmed by the “science” of it all, this kit is foolproof. It has everything you need and clear, simple instructions so you can go from zero to bubbly, happy starter in no time. Fresh, warm bread? Don’t mind if I do.

2. Weck Jars

I splurged. I finally did it—and now I understand why everyone loves these jars. They’re not just pretty, they’re also incredibly functional for storing everything from sourdough discard to fresh herbs. Bonus: they make my pantry look like something out of a magazine spread.

3. Tineco Mop Vac
This might be the least “sexy” product on the list, but hear me out: this thing is a game changer for quick, everyday messes. Whether it’s flour from baking, kids’ spills, or a surprise dog puddle (yep, it happens), the Tineco Mop Vac handles it like a champ. It’s officially replaced my old mop and broom.

4. Thrive Market Box

Thrive Market has been my secret weapon for pantry staples, snacks, and healthy kitchen finds at a price that doesn’t make me cringe. I get a box delivered each month and love how I can customize what comes in it. This month’s favorites? Almond butter, chickpea pasta, and some really good seasoning blends I can’t wait to try in soups.

5. King Arthur Brownie Mix

I saved the best for last: brownies. This mix is insanely good—it’s chewy, fudgy, and perfect for those days you need something sweet without pulling out every ingredient in your pantry. I topped mine with flaky sea salt and it tasted like something from a bakery.

My current favorite kitchen product is the little rubber scraper by OXO. It's the little things! I've looked and looked for a small scraper to use in jars or cans, to scrape out the bit that's left. And one day, there it was! To my surprise, I use it all of the time! Filling muffin tins? Yes. Evening the brownie batter in the pan? Yep! It is used every day. Every. Single. Day. Not big and flashy, but oh so useful..
My favorite (new) thing is my thrive membership!!
I love your picks!
I find my toaster oven & microwave very helpful in the hot summertime since I don't have air conditioning in the kitchen. That Tineco Mop Vac would be really helpful too!
Love my Dutch Oven and Kitchen Aid mixer 🥰
